Alison Emmert and Jen Limon, the owners of Indigo Film Productions, describe how they manage and run their business while balancing and resolving their approach differences in forming an efficient team.
Alison:
One of the things that she'll tell you is you give me an idea in my head and I'm gone, and I'm trying everything I can to get that done. I'm not gonna wait. I'm not gonna sit there. I'm not gonna research it.
Marc:
Oh, you're action-oriented.
Alison:
I'm not going to think about it. Like if I feel like it's gonna work, it's gonna happen. Because my thought process is if I don't take action now, it's gonna open the door for someone else to take that opportunity.
Marc:
Yeah, nothing is gonna happen without that. Actions need to be there. But the other side of that is, if you could be taking too much action, they could lack follow through. So, you're definitely action-oriented. Jen, how do you?
Jen:
We are definitely Yin and Yang.
Marc:
Okay, good.
Jen:
So I wanna learn everything about it. I want to know the process, I want to research, but I will research literally to death and she takes all the research that I do and then she puts it into action and then she takes off running with it.
Marc:
That's great though. That's a great setup.
