Artist Louis Vega Trevio addresses various factors that determine the value of art.
Heather:
What is your ideal client's budget range for art?
Louis:
As a matter of fact, there is that I've come to learn over the years that sometimes they have their own budget. They just don't know how to plug it in. Like they have a budget for art. They just don't know, they're not educated to say, "Okay, we have X amount of dollars. Let's start off with that." And then it builds up. It really makes a difference for companies to have art in their office or carpet or anything like that. It really, you just gotta sell that to them. And then, it goes from there.
Heather:
So that's an interesting point. 'cause you have to sell them on the quality versus the cost.
Louis:
Heck, it's not that you're buying it at a poster shop.
Marc:
Beyond quality is also the effect that the design has on you emotionally. If you're looking to represent yourself at a higher level, like even a podcast studio.
Louis:
Exactly.
Marc:
I would imagine that you could probably do something amazing with the carpet in here to give it a whole different feel. That and, and maybe even wall art as well. This is okay, but I bet you could probably take it.
